Introducing a new feature of the Talent Analytics Blog – the Business Analytics Maverick Award.
Each week – or as often as possible – Talent Analytics will identify and honor a visionary individual and/or organization that has demonstrated a unique and forward looking perspective that leverages business analytics to drive greater business performance.
This week’s award winner is Cathy Missildine-Martin, SPHR and Chief Performance Officer from Intellectual Capital Consulting in Atlanta, Georgia. Cathy was the official blogger of The Corporate Executive Board’s recent Human Capital Metrics Conference in New York City held on November 3-4.
I attended this event vicariously by following the active twitter stream at #tcbhcm and enjoyed Cathy’s real-time insights which were so in line with ours that she even remarked it seemed like we were “twins separated at birth!”
As Cathy observed in her great recap, this key point demonstrates support for a maverick approach rather than business as usual:
-
Talent management data is not business intelligence by itself. It’s just another siloed data set that needs context. It needs to be analyzed with its other data friends…customer, operational and financial data.
If you are on twitter, be sure to follow Cathy @CathyMartin and read her Profitibility Through Human Capital Blog.
Thank you Cathy for your forward looking insight and congrats on being the inaugural Business Analytics Maverick of the Week!
