This is a great post for all Sales and workforce integration consultants, those who manage employee performance and measure human capital. I came across a mutli-page spread in the October issue of the Harvard Business Review called ‘Competing on Talent Analytics’ by Thomas H. Davenport, Jeanne Harris and Jeremy Shapiro.
Talent Analytics is a new field that is used to describe a business’ ability to measure what should be their number one investment, the workforce. Davenport, Harris and Shapiro discuss how leading edge companies are finding new methods of analyzing their workforce ‘enhancing their competitive advantage.’ (Davenport, Harris, Shapiro).
I searched Google for the article and instead found a podcast with Thomas Davenport on the Harvard Business Review website. It’s great to hear that organizations are finding new and innovative ways to motivate and empower employees to excel by simply finding innovative data oriented methods of understanding them.
