Working Effectively Across the Lattice




In The Corporate Lattice (2009), authors Cathleen Benko and Molly Anderson from Deloitte articulate the how the world of work is changing from a traditional ladder structure towards a ‘corporate lattice’. Benko and Anderson convincingly argue the workplace and workforce is changing in three fundamental ways:

  • how work gets done – lattice structure puts a greater emphasis on cross-functional teams.
  • where it gets done – the growth of a virtual, flexible workforce.
  • whom will be doing the work – a more heterogeneous global workforce.
